Johnstone's adds colour with every kick
When the ball hits the back of the net at this season’s Johnstone’s Paint Trophy final, you can rest assured that it will be a colourful finish to remember.
When the ball hits the back of the net at this season’s Johnstone’s Paint Trophy final, you can rest assured that it will be a colourful finish to remember.
Because for the first time ever, the official matchball will be emblazoned with a variety of different colours to celebrate the sponsorship by Johnstone’s Paints.
A spectrum of colour will be splashed on the ball, underlining our pledge to bring colour to the beautiful game.
One hundred Mitre footballs have been created in preparation for next year and features the inscription, ‘Official matchball of the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy Final, Wembley Stadium, 5th April 2009’.
Johnstone’s Marketing Design Studio worked on the project for over 6 weeks after receiving a design brief from both Mitre and The Football League.
The element of colour was to be incorporated as much as possible whilst maintaining the contempory Mitre design that has already become a big hit across terraces nationwide.
Chris Compston, Johnstone’s main creative art worker on the project is thrilled to see his design come to life: “I have worked on this project from day one and to see the final product of my design concept is just fantastic. I will be attending the final and I just cannot wait to see that football on the Wembley turf. April can’t come round quick enough for me.”
