Luton Town’s players will be brushing up on their skills ahead of the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy final, after the company agreed to give Kenilworth Road a lick of paint ahead of the club’s big day.
Luton Town officials in the hope of getting some paint to help them with the refurbishment of their executive boxes contacted bosses at Johnstone’s.
It didn’t take long for Johnstone’s to oblige and the local decorating centre, based in Selbourne Road, delivered around 100 litres of paint on Monday 30th March to help the club out.
Johnstone’s Paint Trophy brand manager Tom Newton said today: “Luton Town have lit up the competition since beating Brentford on penalties way back in the first round.
“They have gone on to embrace the trophy and have shown tremendous skill and endeavour to get to the final. So when we heard they were in need of some paint, we were only too happy to oblige.”
Luton Town’s stadium manager Peter Kemp added: “We are conducting a project to refurbish our executive facilities at Kenilworth Road and we were in need of some quality paint products.
“With the team reaching the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy final, everything pointed towards a phone call to the company.
“They have been extremely generous and we are all delighted with the end result. Let’s hope for another one out on the pitch on April 5.” Johnstone’s.
Bringing colour to the beautiful game.
