Bradford City fans had a ball with the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy when the stunning piece of silverware paid a special visit to Valley Parade.
The trophy was on show at the Bradford City club shop on Saturday before the Bantams’ local league derby with Rotherham and scores of fans couldn’t wait to get their pictures taken with it.
It took pride of place in the club shop from 1pm to 3pm, allowing supporters to catch a glimpse of the trophy that their club will be fighting for when they play Carlisle United in their area semi-final at Brunton Park.
Johnstone’s Paint Trophy’s sponsorship manager Teresa Hardwick said: “We had a great time meeting so many Bradford City fans who were keen on having their picture taken with the trophy.
“We gave out a number of official mini-balls too, and it was great to hear so much positive feedback about the competition.”
Bradford City are enjoying an extended run in the trophy this season, having been unlucky to bow out in the first round against Leeds United and Doncaster Rovers in previous years.
Teresa added: “The fans all told us that they would take thousands to Wembley if they were lucky enough to get there.
“But none of them were complacent about the tough game that lies ahead before they’re through to the Area Finals.”
Johnstone’s. Bringing colour to the beautiful game.
