Carlisle fans flock to the Lanes
Carlisle United fans couldn’t wait to get their hands on the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy, when the famous piece of silverware stopped off in the city.
Supporters of all ages made a trip to The Lanes shopping centre to get their pictures taken with the glistening trophy.
The trophy tour attracted hundreds of fans throughout the day, along with a host of regional media, including television crews, radio stations and local reporters.

Once Carlisle fans had their pictures taken, they then picked up free mini-balls, pens and notepads.
They also entered competitions to win a pair of free tickets to the final and a Wembley half-time penalty shoot-out opportunity for youngsters aged between nine and 12.
Johnstone’s Paint Trophy sponsorship manager Teresa Hardwick said: “Our two trophy tours have been a resounding success.
“We wanted to bring the trophy to the two finalists’ cities and meet as many fans as possible.
“It has been a great initiative all round, and has allowed supporters to speak to us about the trophy and the Johnstone’s brand, whilst we whipped up some cup fever at the same time.
“We hope to see them all again at Wembley on March 28!”
Johnstone's. Bringing colour to the beautiful game.
