But the cards of Bradford City, Burton Albion, Bury, Carlisle United, Crewe Alexandra, Huddersfield Town, Peterborough United and Stockport County won’t be on display in the northern section.

Neither will Barnet, Bristol Rovers, Cheltenham Town, Colchester United, Hereford United, MK Dons, Plymouth Argyle or Wycombe Wanderers in the south.

All of these clubs have been awarded byes after a draw that took place at The Football League Headquarters this week to determine their fate.

The Johnstone’s Paint Trophy is looking forward to another exciting season, following on from the success of 2009/10.

Attendances rose by 46 per cent compared to 2008/09, whilst The Football League Supporters’ Survey 2010 revealed that 47 per cent of fans recognised Johnstone’s Paint as an official partner, compared to 35 per cent in 2008/09.

Teresa Hardwick sponsorship manager said: “The first round draw is another sign that the new Johnstone’s Paint Trophy season is almost upon us, which is why we are so excited about it.

“The road to Wembley starts here for many clubs, and we will be looking at the draw with interest, as it always throws up a number of intriguing ties!”
