The Johnstone’s Paint Trophy has unveiled its top ten 'Ultimate Finishes' for the season so far and we’re now urging fans to vote for the best one. Since the very first round back in September, we’ve been making a careful note of each and every strike, right up to the area finals last month. And we can now reveal our pre-final goal of the season nominations, featuring some amazing netbusting strikes.
This is the first time that the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy has produced an Ultimate Finish award and it’s already been a resounding success, with thousands of fans voting over the course of the season.
The nominations are:

2. Danny Whitaker; OLDHAM ATHLETIC v Accrington Stanley
3. James Walker; HEREFORD UNITED v Aldershot
4. Scott Wagstaff; CHARLTON ATHLETIC v Barnet
5. Peter Sweeney; Leeds United v GRIMSBY TOWN
6. Aaron Wilbraham; MK DONS v Northampton Town
7. Matty Robson; CARLISLE UNITED v Bradford City
8. Graham Kavanagh; Leeds United v CARLISLE UNITED
9. Michail Antonio; MK Dons v SOUTHAMPTON
The winning goalscorer will be presented with a “Johnstone’s Paint Ultimate Finish of the Season Award” and one lucky entrant will win a fantastic Sony Playstation 3 console with latest Fifa game after final voting takes place following the Final on March 28th.
Johnstone’s Paint Trophy sponsorship manager Teresa Hardwick said: “We can safely say that this season has been the most successful we have ever experienced, since we started our sponsorship back in 2006.
“Attendances are up, press coverage has never been higher, and the goals have been pretty phenomenal too.
“We’ve seen some fantastic strikes this season and we are delighted to recognise them with our Ultimate Finish campaign, which has already attracted thousands of votes for the previous rounds.”
