Book of Congratulations

Pens at the ready for euphoric Saints fans

Southampton’s legion of euphoric fans are being urged to get their pens at the ready, as the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy launches an official book of congratulations. To honour the Saints for winning the competition in a record equaling trophy scoreline, Johnstone’s has created the book to allow supporters to send a personal message to their heroes.

April 2010

The book is now at the Southampton decorating centre in Marine Parade and it is hoped that hundreds of fans will drop by to pen their message of congratulations.

Once it is full, it will then be sent to Southampton for the club to keep and remember their trophy success by.

Johnstone’s Paint Trophy sponsorship manager Teresa Hardwick said: “Southampton’s fans have shown passion and pride in the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy from the very first round.

“They lit up the final with a record breaking following of 44,000 and we now want to let them pay tribute to their team through our congratulations book.

“This will be a document that will last a lifetime, which is quite fitting seeing as the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy final will be etched in people’s memories for years to come.

“Our only worry is that we will run out of pages! We would then like to present the book to the club, which they can keep for future generations to appreciate.”

The book will be available to sign at the Johnstone’s Leyland decorating centre in Marine Parade from Monday April 26.
