Saints fans go marching in to see the trophy!
Hundreds of Southampton fans came marching in to see the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy, when the glistening piece of silverware made a visit to the city.
Scores of Saints supporters made the trip to the WestQuay shopping centre on Tuesday to have their pictures taken with the trophy, which they hope their team will win on March 28 against Carlisle United.

People of all ages flocked to catch a glimpse of the glittering prize, which was adorned with multi-coloured ribbons for the first time in an attempt to bring even more colour to the beautiful game.
Once they had their pictures taken with the trophy, fans walked away with Johnstone’s Paint Trophy goodies including up free mini-balls, pens, notepads, car stickers and clappers.
They also entered competitions to win a pair of free tickets to the final and a Wembley half-time penalty shoot-out opportunity for youngsters aged between nine and twelve was also up for grabs.
Johnstone’s Paint Trophy sponsorship manager Teresa Hardwick said: “We were delighted with the success of our Southampton trophy tour.
“Hundreds of people came to see us, and it was great to meet the fans, take their pictures, and wish them well ahead of the final.
“We hope to see them again at Wembley on March 28!”
The Johnstone’s Paint Trophy will now take to the road for a trophy tour in Carlisle on Tuesday March 9 at The Lanes shopping centre, from 11am to 3pm.
