Bees buzzing for Johnstone's Paint Trophy Final
Brentford’s red and white army of fans have already snapped up their allocation of 20,000 tickets for the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy final, just days after going on sale.
Brentford’s red and white army of fans have already snapped up their allocation of 20,000 tickets for the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy final, just days after going on sale.
Bees supporters have underlined the importance of the competition to the club ahead of the April 3 final and will now be given more seats for their big day at Wembley,
With opponents Carlisle United releasing their 19,000 allocation for supporters last Friday, the initial signs are that the fifth Johnstone’s Paint Trophy final will again be extremely well supported in another show of strength for the competition.
Last season’s final between Southampton and Carlisle United attracted 73,476 fans – the highest in Johnstone’s Paint Trophy final history, while 55,378 and 56,618 fans showed their support at the 2009 and 2008 finals respectively.
Johnstone’s Paint Trophy’s sponsorship manager Teresa Hardwick said: “To see Brentford’s allocation of tickets sell out within days of going on release is wonderful news for us and the trophy as a whole.
“We were hoping to see around 20,000 Brentford fans at the final, but the fact that their quota of seats have already been sold suggests we can look forward to way more than our original estimate.
“Meanwhile, we know all about Carlisle United’s supporters, who came in their droves last season and made plenty of noise in the 2010 final.
“If we get a similar blue and white turnout again this time around, we will be equally thrilled.”
Fans wishing to get the latest ticket information for their sides should check with their clubs for availability.
