In a one-off opportunity for fans of both finalist teams, Johnstone’s has launched a competition for supporters to step onto the hallowed turf on April 3 before handing the ball to the referee moments before the action commences.

To help the competition conclude its jam-packed itinerary of pre-match entertainment, two lucky fans will win the chance to walk down Wembley tunnel and out into the gaze of a packed stadium with the match ball.

Any supporters making a purchase from their nearest Johnstone’s decorating centre will be eligible to enter, with one lucky fan from Brentford and Carlisle United eventually being chosen.

To enter, simply visit your local participating Johnstone’s Decorating Centre in Carlisle or around the Brentford area and fill in an entry form at the point of purchase. The more purchases made, the more opportunities to win this unique prize which includes a pair of complimentary tickets to watch the game and a bespoke numbered match ball signed by the referee.

The closing date for entries is Saturday 12th March.

Johnstone’s Paint Trophy’s sponsorship manager Teresa Hardwick said: “This is the first time we have organised an opportunity like this, and we hope it captures the imagination.

“To present the match ball on Wembley’s hallowed turf really is a money-can’t-buy experience that will live long in the memory, so we hope the fans will be as excited by the prospect as we are.”

In addition, the final of the Johnstone’s Paints nationwide five-a-side competition will take place prior to kick-off, in another unparalleled event for diehard football enthusiasts.

Teresa added: “We always strive to enhance the experiences of the fans in every way possible throughout the course of the season and our final is the culmination of a huge effort by everyone at Johnstone’s.”
