It will be one of the toughest decisions to be made in football this season, but the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy is hoping that fans rise to the challenge and vote for their favourite Trophy Tot of 2010.
For the second year running, a charming collection of little dribblers have been unearthed through the competition’s latest search to find the nation’s cutest fan.
During the course of the pre-season, the trophy launched an appeal to find its official ‘Trophy Tot’ and with hundreds of entries now received, a shortlisted group of youngsters has been chosen.
The Trophy Tot initiative has been created in an attempt to find some of the nation’s happiest little football fans, in a light hearted effort to engage with clubs up and down the country.
The fun campaign caught the imagination of supporters everywhere last year, with young Millwall fan Harry Eveson eventually being crowned as the official winner.
Harry ended up being something of a lucky omen for the London club, who went on to gain promotion from League One at the end of their league campaign.
It is now hoped that fans will begin voting for the cutest Trophy Tot now, before a winner is crowned to the nation after voting closes on October 15.
Johnstone’s Paint Trophy sponsorship manager Teresa Hardwick said: “Our Trophy Tot competition was a resounding success last season and we were delighted to open it out again.
“We have had hundreds of entries and it was nigh on impossible to shortlist a group for people to vote on.
“But after much deliberating, we have shortlisted the entries and we have now opened the voting up to supporters everywhere in an attempt to find an overall winner.”
All the shortlisted tots will receive a Johnstone’s Paint Trophy mini ball with the overall winner receiving a £50 voucher for their team’s club shop along with a Johnstone’s Paint Trophy goody bag.
