Johnstone's wows customers with its festival of football!

One of the most spectacular football festivals on record has been unveiled by Johnstone’s Paint exclusively for its customers, featuring a once-in-a-lifetime chance to play before the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy Final at Wembley Stadium.

The popular brand – which promises to bring colour to the Beautiful Game – is doing just that with a dazzling new Football Festival in 2011.

The event, which will be held in February and March, represents the only opportunity anywhere for amateur footballers to qualify to play the games of their lives in front of thousands of fans – moments before the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy final itself.

In addition, Johnstone’s will team-up with England international and ex-Manchester United star Lee Sharpe, who will host the all-action events.

The Johnstone’s Paint Football Festival is made up of two separate days at Power League venues in Milton Keynes (Sunday February 27) and Manchester (Sunday March 6).

Up to 120 teams will battle it out for the chance to play before the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy Final at Wembley Stadium on Sunday April 3, after they have progressed through group stages and knockout rounds.

And as the action on the Astroturf hots up, a number of crowd favourites will also be adding to the excitement.

A hardest shot competition, a crossbar challenge and a soccer skills school will take place, while £6,000 worth of cash prizes will be up for grabs over the 2 days.

Johnstone’s Paint Football Festival co-coordinator Jane Clough said: “We think that our football festival will be the most sought after football event in the country.

“We have never organised anything on this scale before and would urge all of our customers to enter early so they don’t miss out on the action.

“Most football fans can only dream of playing in a world famous sporting arena, so to be able to offer this as a prize is something we are really thrilled about.”
