Southampton celebrate winning the Johnstone's Paint Trophy 2010

Robins hope to ruffle Saints feathers!

If Southampton found winning the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy difficult, they might well find that retaining it is even tougher, following the first round draw on Soccer AM.

August 2010

The Saints will face Swindon Town at St Mary’s Stadium in what is one of the toughest draws they could have hoped for as they attempt to become the first team to ever retain the trophy.

The plum tie grabbed the headlines when Helen Chamberlain and Max Rushden revealed the team cards live on Sky Sports, while other fixtures also caused a stir.

Sheffield Wednesday will return to trophy action against newly promoted Notts County, while Stevenage will be glad of a home draw against Brentford, as the conference champions make their bow in the competition.
