What do you get when you cross a Brentford right winger, a Carlisle United midfielder and an Exeter City centre forward?
The answer is three stunning goals, which have been nominated to win the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy’s latest Ultimate Finish award.
Out of the 12 goals to fly into the net during the area final stage, strikes by Tom Taiwo, Sam Saunders and Daniel Nardiello have been shortlisted to win the prestigious prize.
For Tom and Sam, the award would be a timely boost ahead of their trip to Wembley on April 3 as Carlisle United prepare to tackle Brentford.
Daniel Nardiello can at least hope to join the elite band of players to have won the accolade, following in the footsteps of Vincent Pericard (Swindon Town), Craig Noone (Plymouth Argyle), Ben Swallow (Bristol Rovers) and Jordan Rhodes (Huddersfield Town).
