Johnstone’s Paint Trophy’s sponsorship manager Teresa Hardwick said: “This is the third season of Ultimate Finish awards and what a way to kick them off!

“The goals actually exceeded our expectations with a variety of stunning strikes finding the back of the net. The choice of picking the best goal is virtually impossible for us, so we are glad to throw it out to the fans to decide.”

Huddersfield Town’s Jordan Rhodes won the overall 2010/11 Ultimate Finish award for his 25 yard lob against Tranmere Rovers at the area semi-final stage.

Torquay United’s Danny Stevens won it the year before for his first round strike against Cheltenham Town.
