'B' is for Bradford and Brentford in latest trophy honours
‘B’ stands for Bradford City and Brentford in the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy’s latest team of the round awards, thanks to a pair of brilliant performances in the northern and southern sections respectively.
October 2011
Few fancied Bradford City to overcome last season’s area finalists Huddersfield Town at the Galpharm Stadium, while even fewer could have predicted the comprehensive nature of Brentford’s 3-0 win at Charlton Athletic.
But both sides progressed to the area quarter final stages and both can look forward to an impressive piece of silverware to remember their efforts by as they prepare for games against Sheffield United and AFC Bournemouth.
And in a further boost for both sets of fans, their teams’ exploits have triggered a 40 per cent discount off all Johnstone’s, Leyland and Fat Hog products for them all to make the most of.
The ‘Team of the Round’ giveaway is one of a series of incentives on offer for supporters this season, as part of the trophy’s ‘Just Rewards’ initiative.
All supporters have to do to claim their discounts is click

Vouchers can also be redeemed at any Johnstone’s or Johnstone’s Leyland Decorating Centre within a 20 mile radius of Valley Parade or Griffin Park.
For the second round in succession, the Bantams did things the excruciating way on penalties, eventually squeezing past the Terriers 4-3.
Barely 24 hours later and Brentford were turning on the style against much fancied Charlton Athletic, winning 3-0 with goals from Blair Adams, Toumani Diagouraga and a Kevin O'Conno penalty.
Johnstone’s Paint Trophy’s sponsorship manager Teresa Hardwick said: “Both teams caught the eye for different reasons and both deserve to win our team of the round awards.
“There were a number of highlights in round two, but Bradford City’s triumph and Brentford’s comprehensive win stood out most.
“They are both preparing for tough fixtures in the area quarter finals, so we hope this recognition will spur them onto to similar levels of performance. We wish them all the best!”
