Caddis collects Ultimate Finish award
As Swindon Town continue to acquire critical acclaim for their performance, defender Paul Caddis won the hearts of Johnstone’s Paint Trophy supporters by clinching the Ultimate Finish Award for the area semi-finals.
January 2012
Hundreds of Swindon Town fans voted for the 22-year-old’s glorious finish against Southend United, just beating Oldham Athletic’s Tom Adeyemi to the prize.
Paul will now be presented with his prize from lifelong Swindon Town fan Tom Aston, who was picked at random as the winner and can look forward to receiving an iPod nano.
Tom said: “I’m absolutely delighted to be able to meet and present Paul with his prize. It was a great goal and as a life-long fan it’ll be special to meet one of my favourite players.
“It’ll be even better if we can make it to Wembley. There’s a real buzz around the club at the moment and it feels like we’re destined to get there.”
Johnstone’s Paint Trophy’s sponsorship manager Teresa Hardwick said: “Our congratulations go to Paul Caddis for a wonderful goal, we’re sure it will be one he treasures for a long time.
“We’re absolutely amazed at how many superb goals there has been this season. It’s fantastic entertainment for everybody who watches the competition and long may it continue.
“Our best wishes go out to Paul and Swindon Town for the fixtures ahead, along with all other area finalists.”
There’s an Ultimate Finish Award for each round of the competition. Fans will have the opportunity to vote the goal of the round and one lucky entrant will win an iPod nano.
After the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy Final, all fans will then have the opportunity to vote for the ‘Ultimate Finish of the Season’.
The winning goalscorer will be presented with a ‘Johnstone’s Paint Ultimate Finish of the Season Award’ and one lucky entrant will win a fantastic Sony Playstation 3 console with the latest Fifa game.
