Johnstone's hopes that the photo's are all-bright!
The Johnstone’s Paint Trophy is calling on young Swindon Town and Chesterfield fans to bring yet more colour to the beautiful game, by becoming the ‘faces’ of the competition’s biggest fixture of all.
March 2012
Johnstone’s is hoping to capture the magic of the March 25 final on film by asking fans to send in photographs of themselves or their children with their faces painted in their club colours.
The best pictures will win a bespoke limited edition match ball inscribed with the words ‘Official matchball, Johnstone’s Paint Trophy Final, Wembley Stadium, Sunday 25th March 2012’.
It is hoped that their faces will paint a thousand words for the sponsors, who require some memorable images for use on a selection of posters that will be hung within the Club Wembley area of the ground.
A total of six images (three for each club) will be selected for use on the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy final artwork, with each successful entrant receiving one of the exclusive tensile match balls.
Sponsorship manager, Teresa Hardwick, said: “Seeing the fans kitted out in their team regalia is one of the best parts of a Wembley final, so we wanted to celebrate that pride with a series of posters entitled ‘colours that run deep’.
“After spending time with both the Chesterfield and Swindon Town fans we can see just how passionate they are about their respective clubs, and we thought it would be great if we could somehow capture that emotion.
“We’d encourage entrants to be as imaginative as possible with their photographs, wear their club shirts, hats or scarves and make sure their painted faces are close-up to the camera.”
All photo’s will also need to be of a high resolution so should be taken with a digital camera rather than a camera phone.
