The Spireites are confident of selling their 20,000 allocation of seats for the March 25 final and have announced that ‘priority’ groups will be able to obtain their tickets from February 13.
The aim is to minimise the need for queuing by selling in sequence to season tickets holders, loyalty card holders, founder members and sponsors, before going on general sale shortly after.
Chesterfield’s communications manager Geoff Mitchell said that he was confident his club would sell out its offering, judging on the club’s last red letter day 15 years ago.
Geoff said: “In 1997 we took 22,000 fans to Old Trafford for the FA Cup semi-final so we are looking at the same sort of number for Wembley now.
“We do have an impressive away following for our league games and while a journey to London is a bit further than it was to Old Trafford, the incentive of playing at the Home of Football is a huge one.
“We would certainly like to think that we will sell out our allocation. There is so much talk about the final around the town already.”
Ticket prices are: adults £26, £36, £46. Concessions U17 (but only if accompanied by an adult) and senior citizens 65+ £13, £18, £23. Limited number of £60 and £30 tickets available in the Bobby Moore Area.
