Just ask Steel City Giants Sheffield Wednesday and Sheffield United who have been handed tricky assignments away at Bradford City and Burton Albion respectively after the first round draw was made on Soccer AM on Saturday.

In another intriguing draw, holders Carlisle United were given a testing tie away at Accrington Stanley, while fellow 2011 finalists Brentford will also hit the road to tackle 2008 Trophy winners, Milton Keynes Dons.

Crawley Town also face a tough first outing in the competition away to Southend at Roots Hall.

Whilst back in the Northern Section a fascinating clash awaits at the Bank’s Stadium when League 2 Shrewsbury Town will hope to cause an upset against League 1 rivals Walsall.
